Kristina Zakurdaeva

She is a digital editor and investigative journalist at RFE/RL’s Current Time. Kristina specializes in long-form storytelling and digital projects. She reports on gender-based violence and international politics. Recently, her work was featured in GIJN’s best women reporting and GIJN's best data journalism features. She was a part of the team that received an honorable mention in 2023 Philip Meyer Award. She also managed Levin-Utkin Fellowship focused on data journalism.
