Yasia Karalevich-Kartel

Journalist and editor focused on social features and multimedia storytelling. Graduated philosophy faculty at Belarusian State University, specialized in Media and Communication. Editor and co-owner of CityDog.by, one of the the most popular online citymagazines in Belarus. Her main specialization is rubrics on social issues: city activism, national minorities, creative industries development in post soviet city. A series of articles dedicated to the life of national minorities was awarded by UNHCR.

Recently, she worked on a series of articles devoted to the life of single-industry towns built around energy enterprises. For example, Ostrovets, where despite the history of the Chernobyl disaster, the Belarusian regime is building a nuclear power plant.
